After a week of teases and leaks, Lego 2K Drive has officially been revealed for a May 19 release date. The new racer takes Lego to the race track, with customizable cars featuring over 1,000 different digital Lego pieces and a fully drivable open world. Lego 2K Drive will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, and if the idea of Lego racing excites you, you’ll be glad to know that preorders are now open. Here’s a look at Lego 2K Drive preorders, including each available version and the bonuses that come with jumping in early.

Every preorder of Lego 2K Drive will come with the Aquadirt Racer Pack, which is a trio of water-themed vehicles that will be available for in-game racing. If you preorder a physical copy of the game, you will also receive a physical Aquadirt Racer kit to build your own racer in the real world.

Itch.io’s second Creator Day is here, kicking off 24 straight hours where all revenue from game sales goes directly to the people who made them. The initiative starts at midnight PT on Friday July 23 and runs for 24 full hours, meaning it’s now time to buy some games.

This is the second time the indie-focused games distribution platform has run Creator Day, with the first one launching earlier this year on May 14th. Over the course of the day, creators who list games or game development assets for sale on Itch.io will receive the full amount of every sale they make, after taxes and third-party fees are taken.

Ed Sheeran Will Perform Inside Pokemon Go Next Week

Following a tease earlier this week, Niantic and The Pokemon Company have now officially announced what the Ed Sheeran/Pokemon Go collaboration is all about.

A pre-recorded performance by Sheeran, featuring older hits and new tracks from his recently released album “=,” will be available inside Pokemon Go next week. The performance will be live in Pokemon Go on November 22, starting at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET.

It will be available in the game until November 30 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET. Detailed instructions on how to watch the show will be shared through Pokemon Go’s in-game newsfeed.

Netflix is developing two new projects with actor Keanu Reeves based on his BRZRKR comic book, the streamer has announced. Reeves will both produce and star first in a live-action BRZRKR film, followed up by an animated series, in which he lends his voice to the main character.

BRZRKR tells the story of an immortal warrior’s 80,000-year lifetime. The character is known only as “B” and is a half-mortal, half-god cursed to a life of violence. Lords of the Fallen cannot escape Dark Souls’ shadow, but its weighty combat and impossibly chunky art style still give it an identity of its own. Yet the shadow still looms, and in the case of Lords of the Fallen’s newest add-on, Ancient Labyrinth, it wholly swallows its imitator. That Ancient Labyrinth is so short is not, in itself, a fundamental flaw. That it is devoid of imagination and betrays the exploratory wonder of the main game, however, is unforgivable. This tiny, throwaway slice of action is a rude return to a world with far better stories to tell.

Lego Announces Largest Set Ever, With Over 11,000 Pieces

Lego is launching its largest set ever, the Lego World Map, on June 1. Reported by Wavy, the new mosaic set contains 11,695 pieces to create a massive Lego map to put up on your wall. The Lego World Map comes in at 26 inches high and 41 inches long, with white pieces to create the continents and colorful pieces for the ocean section. The map also features the option to adjust what continents are at the center of the map for anyone who wants to center their home country.

The Lego World Map takes the record for most pieces from the Coloeum set from December 2020, which contained 9036 pieces. The Lego World Map is listed at $250 USD on the Lego website (which is $300 cheaper than the Colosseum set) and includes a QR code that links to a custom playlist to listen to while building the map.
